Dear Andrologist,

The organization of ECA 2016 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands is at full steam. The scientific program has been finalized and can now be viewed on the website. In January 2016 we will launch the first call for abstracts. All accepted abstracts will be published in a special issue of Andrology. The authors of the best abstracts will have the opportunity to give an oral presentation during the congress. All other abstracts will be accommodated in moderated poster sessions.

The social program will include a dinner for all delegates at the medieval city of Delft, close to Rotterdam, birthplace of Antoni van leeuwenhoek and Reignier de Graaf. Antoni van leeuwenhoek was the first to discover spermatozoa in a handheld microscope he had designed. His friend Reignier de Graaf accurately described the anatomy of the male and female reproductive organs. Don`t miss this event!

I am an associate professor of Andrology, Assiut University, Egypt. I’d like to inquire if I can send more than one abstract in 2 fields of Andrology. and if there is reduced registeration for accepted abstracts from developing countries

    • ecacongress says:

      Dear Dr. Emad Taha,

Thanks for your interest in ECA2016. Yes, you are welcome to send in more that 1 abstract for the congress. They will be judged by the program organizing committe and if accepted published in a special edition of the journal “Andrology”. Based on the quality of your abstract we will decide wheter it will be an oral presentation or an poster presentation (guided tour on Thursday and on Friday). The board of EAA has decided not to have a special fee for delegates from developing countries. There will, however, be a special fee for PhD-students.

Hope to see you in Rotterdam in September 2016.

      Best wishes,
      Gert Dohle, local organizer.

    Dear Andrologists,

Did you know that Rotterdam was nomination among the 10 cities to visit in 2016 according to the Lonely planet guide?
    please visit: https://www.lonelyplanet.com/the-netherlands/rotterdam

  • Hi there,
Many thanks for all the information including travel grant opportunity and subsidized fee for PhD students. However, to apply for travel grant someone should be member of EAA, which is too complicated procedure along with support from 2 existing members. Are there any other travel grant opportunities like for non-members?
    Thank you.

    • ecacongress says:

  • Many thanks Dohle, will be interested to know if can provide.
